My own gold making tactics (Guide part 3)

Hey guys I hope I'd do an update so here it is lol. At this time of posting a total of 100 people have viewed this blog "Yay" and it also has 2 followers so thank you too them :P

So this time I'll be going through the ways of making gold that truthfully I used to use myself. I say used to because I stopped playing a little while back, and more recently I have been levelling a new character to pass the boredom, but to the best of my knowledge this ways of making gold still work for Wotlk. If your reading this and the nest expansion has come out I'm not promising anything :P. So on with the show.

Ok so you want to know how I make gold? Well with a simple 1 time payment of over 9000 pounds you can too make gold in wow... joke. No I wouldn't do that to you guys :P Even my own ways of making gold are still going to be 100% free. Don't you just love me yet?

Anyway... So how do I make gold? Chances are your reading this from the video I made on my channel titled "The secret to making gold in wow right in this video I kid you not". If not then the link is here > CLICK . Long story short i got fed up of gold guides. So I made that quick video sort of explaining one of the tactics I am going to explain in full below.

So the first one I will tell you about is a simple low time required method of making gold, but it can be pricey to begin with. In a previous part I explained how to make gold by buying items on the AH then selling them back in for a higher price. At its roots this tactic is basically that but with a much higher success rate.

To use this way of making gold you will need the following:

A Character (Preferably level 80) With Enchanting (375)
An addon called "Auctioneer" Link > CLICK
A few hundred gold to start
Also I suggest a good mail addon for opening all the mail your going to receive > CLICK

Now if gold is a real problem for you then you need to do some daily quests and random HC's because your going to need a bit of gold to make more. Not much but still.

So you've got everything in the list, good. Lets begin.

I part 1 of this guide I believe I told you about selling greens as you level if you don't need the upgrade. Well now comes the exciting part because your going to use all those suckers looking to make a quick buck, to make a huge buck. Now this can be done at any item level range however for the purpose of this guide we'll use the required levels of between 50 - 60.

Back when I was suing this myself this was my main money maker range. You can make gold from other levels, even level 80 items but I found the % of profit to be large in this range so this is what I am using to explain.

Using your new addon auctioneer run to your nearest AH and have a quick scan. Ok you don't really need to do this but it will help you in the long run. Once the scan is done (mine takes about 20 minutes) you'll be ready to start buying items. I'll sum up what your going to be doing then give you the long explanation.

Your going to be buying cheap GREEN items, disenchanting them and selling the mats you gain from the DE (DE = disenchant).

Now for the long explanation. You start by setting your level range go for 50 - 60 and then set the rarity too "Uncommon" or green then give it a scan. You should get a few pages of random green armour. Now hover over the first item you see. We'll just say you found the "Boots of ultimate kicking power" (No that item doesn't exist -.-).

Ok so while hovering over the item you'll see all the stat info of the item as well as a lot of new info provided by auctioneer. If you look through the list you'll see a lot of info on selling price and stuff but your looking for "Disenchant Value". I'm just going to guestimate for this but you'll get the idea.

Say the "Boots of ultimate kicking power" are going for a buy out price of 2g, however the DE value is 12g. Now 70% of you should be seeing where this is going already, if your in the last 30% keep reading.

Your now going to buy that item and DE it yourself, pretty much making 10g in one small move. You've just got to put those mats back in the AH for a quick profit. 9 times out of 10 Mats sell on the first go through but if its returned to you in 24 hours then just put it back in until it sells. Make sure that yours is the cheapest on the AH ALWAYS!! But don't go ridiculous because you don't want to make the market crash, else you wont be making any money from it. Also don't worry about losing money on deposits because enchanting mats don't have deposits thus making a little more gold.

So to sum it up you've just made 12g from 2g which is 10g profit. Easy really once you understand it but I'm going to say it again.

KEEP YOUR AUCTIONS THE CHEAPEST ON THE AH WITHOUT CRASHING THE MARKET!!!!

What I mean is if someone's got Mat "A" on the AH for 2g, don't go in and place yours as 1s. Because you'll be lowering the market for everyone else hoping to sell mat A also. If the lowest bid going is 2g, the put yours in for 1g 99s. Sure its dishonourable but you wont feel so bad any more when you log on in the morning to find your mail box is full of gold waiting for you to spend.

A good example of this is when Primordial Saronite was first made public. I remember seeing auctions for almost 10000g a pop. Now you can pick them up for almost 1000g and the reason for that is people undercutting other peoples prices too much. If they had kept the prices up you'd still be rolling in money :P and its high market prices that you want to see the most.

Anyway that's enough for tonight I'm tired and need sleep. I hope you've enjoyed reading this and I will be updating again at some point. I have at lest 1 more tactic I want to share with you and then maybe more tips and tricks we'll see :P. Watch this space. Devildragon911 signing out

Blog updates, and guide part 2

Hey and welcome to my site if your reading this :P.

Its been 24 hours since I started this blog and now I feel like updating some more. Since my last post I've decided to handle my guide a little differently than just posting a blog entry. I will be posting a new blog entry for new info I add to the site, then giving it its own page under a title for what I am describing in that part. Its not as complicated as I make it sound lol. Simply click on the link at the top of this page for which part of the guide you'd like to read.

So last time I covered gold saving tips for while your levelling. "That's great and all but I'm looking for a way to make a quick buck, that's why I'm here after all." And you couldn't be more right. So I'm now following that up with information designed to not only help you save gold, but make gold. Before I begin I will outline what I plan to cover on this blog.

I will cover well known tactics for making gold, including the simple farming tactic and bending the AH to your advantage. I will also cover farming tactics that I use personally and why I feel they work well. Also I will show you my tactics for making gold not only while levelling, but also when your stuck at level 80 with no more quests to follow.

This time I will start by explaining the simpler ways to make money within wow.

So your playing wow, to play wow well you need gold and gold isn't hard to come by its apart of the game after all. So how did the designers (Blizzard) Intend for you the player to make gold within they're game? A large part of your first few hundred gold will come from quests and loot from mobs which Blizzard intended (This I covered in part 1). Now I don't work for Blizzard or anything but my guess is they didn't intend it to be too difficult to make gold in wow so where do you start. From the get go the easiest way to make gold is and will always be farming. Before raging into the comments box please note that I didn't say "easiest and quickest way" that's because farming is by no means quick. See if you don't already know farming is a process of "farming" a group of mobs that drop a certain item, whether that is armour or even just greys, it is known as farming. What is also known as farming is collecting mats that are used to craft items, like ore and leather. I am not going to name every way to farm in wow because that's not what I'm here to do. But before I go any further I want make things clear.

Farming is the best bet to for making gold period. the reason for this is simple. An unlimited resource which you can farm at your own pace, at your own time. Now you do have to check to see that you can sell what it is your farming for but to be honest, as long as your farming something that is used at the level cap (In this case 80) then its a safe bet that someone, somewhere is going to buy it. A good example of this is Arctic fur. Arctic fur sells for about 50g (On my server at lest) and sometimes can be quite scarce at times, allowing you to bump the price up and sell your recent farm for a shiny penny. Once again I am not going to name things for you to farm, I am only explaining that there is loads to be farmed within wow and if you can find what you enjoy to farm and it sells for a high price, You'll be rolling in the gold soon enough.

The next simple way I'd like to explain my not sound to simple, but once you understand the concept it really is simple however risky.

To be honest I don't know what people call it. Personally I call it "Working the AH". What this means is that you use the AH to make you gold without really doing much work at all. This is the method preferred by a lot of gold guides in the sense that it suits the needs of the people buying the guide, that its simple, requires next to know time, and about the same actual play time to achieve. So now to explain exactly what it means.

Take an item, any item. Preferably one that is sold often. Out of thin air I'll take Arctic fur (Ok I don't love the stuff I just can't think of anything else at this time :P). Like I said above on my server Arctic fur costs about 50g on my server. The reason I say about is because this price changes from time to time. Some people put there's in thinking they can get 100g for it, when others just want a quick sale and place it in for 40g. Its is these people your going to grow to like a lot! See you begin by watching an items market and figuring out a "base price". Basically what an item on average sells for. Our average for today is 50g. Now again you watch the market and wait for bob to come along looking for a quick sale, say 40g. And then you buy it for him. Not to use yourself but to place back in the AH for 50g, thus making a 10g profit for almost 10 seconds work. You see where this is going?

Now you can make a quick gold or 2 out of this method but it really gets into its own when you cover loads of items at the same time! Say you've got 10 of this item, 20 of that item and 50 of this item and chances are they are all going to sell for 10g more than you brought them. That right there is 800g (Fingers crossed) that will be in your hands shortly. I say fingers crossed because your item might not sell, it might be under cut by someone looking for a quick sale too but that is the true battle. It is making sure that it is your stock that sells and not everyone else's, while still making a profit from it.

I did say above that this sounds complicated but it really isn't. I suggest getting an addon pack called "Auctioneer" which will help you to make the most out of the AH and make it easier to do what I explained above. If you use this method correctly and safely in the sense that you don't take too many risks, you should make some cash out of it. But I do not recommend this method for a few reasons.

There is a high chance that your items will not sell, meaning at some point or another your going to come across an item which is costing you more in deposit than it will be bringing in a profit. Now if you can handle this method and are ready for the risks then go for it. Hell do this while farming mats like explained above and you'll be rolling in it. But any experienced wow player will know of these too tactics and if you fall under that category then your not looking for tips on doing something you may have already tried and just cannot get along with. Your not alone my friend I for one don't like the AH method purely because it robs people of the farming they did so you can make gold off them.

I'm not going to tell you not to use that method though, I'm going to show you better methods for making gold. Stay tuned for more from this blog because this is all I have time for tonight. I will be updating soon with more infomation on how I make gold within wow (Including the tactics that I am using to this day to make gold).

Thank you and I'll see you next time.

P.s if you found this helpful then please send this page onto your friends so they may benefit too (Don't be selfish I'm sure they could use the gold too, plus it gives you a bit of competition :P)

Devildragon911's Guide to making gold within world of warcraft

Hello and welcome to my new blog which I have created to help you make gold within world of warcraft. Before I begin I'd like to explain exactly why I am making this gold guide, and why I will be keeping 100% completely free (No surveys to fill in or anything :P).

I have been playing wow for almost 3 years now and what a journey it has been. I'm not going to bore you with my stories of how I once spent half a day walking from darnassus to ironforge, or how I have seen the rise and full of half a dozen guilds in my time. No I am here typing this tonight (Its actually midnight as I start work on this) to bring you the knowledge I have collected in my time within the world of warcraft.

Now I should tell you that if you don't have an understand of wow as it is, then this guide may be difficult to understand. Being a keen player I will try to keep things as simple as I can, but I can't stop myself if I start talking about thing known only to those who have played such a game. Also I should note that this is not a complete step by step guide. In the sense that I will not just simply tell you to go here, do this, ??????, Profit. I will show you how to make profit from everything you do in wow... or at lest I will try too lol.

So where do I begin in a world as large as wow. I will begin by giving you the simplest of tips that can save you the odd gold when you need it most, and the things that all wow players should have some level of understanding. So without further ado here are my tips (In no order at all) on making spending money in wow.

First set yourself a goal, why are you saving your gold? Are you trying for an epic flying mount? Or maybe you want a motorbike. Set yourself a goal and remember why your saving that money, else you'll throw it away at any given moment.

I'll presume your levelling, whether that is a level 1 character or a level 79. There is always room to save that extra bit of gold. When levelling you'll be tempted to buy new armour for your level from the auction house. Now I'm not telling you to never do this, just avoid it if you can. Lots of low level people make money from this by selling the items they have looted along the way to people who need them. Great idea yes for them, not for you. If your doing enough quests and killing enough mobs chances are that you'll get a green drop that you can use, So use it. Its free and its an upgrade. You've just saved yourself 10g at the AH on some armour you'll just grow out of in 5 levels.

Also avoid upgrading too much. Like I said above I'm not saying don't buy from the AH. There are times that when your level 50, level 20 armour just wont cut it any more. When I'm levelling I set myself a bracket. Say once every 10 levels I'll look for upgrades. If the upgrade isn't near or right on top of my current level, then I don't upgrade and I keep going, thus saving your gold for when your really going to need it.

"But Devildragon" you say. "I need to buy armour because I keep dying, I need upgrades!". You keep dying yes, but you don't need upgrades. Now I'm going to say this without trying to sound mean. Chances are if your dying your ether in the wrong level area or your too stupid to know what to pull or what not to pull. Why am I covering this in a gold making guide you say? Its simple. Every time you die it adds to your repair bill, and after 10 repairs your wondering where all your money went too. So the less you die the more money you'll save. Now your next question is most likely "Ok I'm no good at the game, teach me how to play." I'm afraid that is not what this guide is for and to be honest you've got to learn for yourself. Just take things easy don't bite more than you can chew and you'll be fine.

Moving on from repair bills what else can you do as your levelling to save gold? Another but factor is the loot that you collect from mobs. Now if your thinking "Unless its a quest I don't bother too loot" then you deserve a slap. No really. Sure the mobs drop a lot of greys that are pointless, but this is also an early money maker. Ok its not going to get you thousands of gold just buy looting everything, but it is going to start you on the right track. So the simple rule is loot everything! Everywhere! Most mobs drop money and some greys or even the odd green (Which I mentioned above you could keep for yourself, or sell on the auction house to make money). Without trying to sound like a high-street supermarket "Every little helps".

Now if your wondering what to do with all of those greys and rubbish items you've looted then I'll give you another slap. Its simple you sell them! No not on the auction house, greys really don't sell on the auction house at all. You sell them to any vender at all. I tend to go through a few hours of levelling and notice my bags are full, turn around and run for the nearest town to clean my bags out. Rinse repeat. Its that simple.

I'll sum up everything I have tried to teach you into a few simple sentences.

Keep spending to a minimum.
Make the most out of your time levelling by looting everything and making profit.
Stop dying so much, those repair bills add up you know.

And 1 final note. Get yourself a farming profession. What I mean by this is get your a profession that you can gather mats with (Mats being what people use to make things within wow). A good one to have is skinning as it does not require a tracker to be active, and will make sure you loot your mobs too :P. Just sell what you get on the Auction house for a quick profit.

Now that is all I have time for this time but I will update this blog with more information at a later date. Its late and I'm tired lol. I plan on giving advanced information on how to make the best out of the auction house and what to do with your gold once you've finished levelling.

Thank you and I'll see you next time.
